I MADE A BOOK!!!!! another life goal accomplished! this is my final project for my typography class. flip through my photos to see all the pages! short story: the ones who walk away from omelas author: ursula k. le guin designer: dhara j. patel typeface: mrs eaves vector illustrations: dhara j. patel, vecteezy
The purpose of this project was to gather all the basic principles of typography and redesign a portion of a novel.

I started my research by looking to existing texts for inspiration. To make sure I don’t limit creativity I looked through novels, magazines, and even textbooks to understand a wide range of layouts. There were many elements of these layouts I researched, but I only needed a few of those elements to portray “The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas”.
book title, author's name, page numbers, text frames, typographic illustrations, overflowing illustrations across a spread, negative space on pages, paragraph breaks for quotes, front and back covers
